JTC has continued to bolster its proposition in the US and wider Americas markets with the appointment of Marcel Imery as Director of Business Development.
Based in JTC’s New York office, Marcel provides structuring services to JTC’s private and corporate clients, with a particular remit to help drive growth across the US and Latin American markets.
With more than 30 years’ experience as an international tax, corporate and transactional attorney and as a trusted adviser to High-Net-Worth Individuals and c-level executives of Fortune 500 companies, Marcel joins JTC having previously co-founded and co-managed a top-tier law firm in Venezuela. The firm merged in 2019 to create the largest law firm in the country. Marcel has particular expertise in advising Latam families and business owners with corporate holding and asset protection structures.
A renowned lawyer recognised in key industry publications such as Best Lawyer, Chambers and the Legal 500, Marcel has also founded, financed and scaled startups in Venezuela and Chile, awarded by Wayra and Startup Chile, two of Latam’s leading incubators. Fluent in Spanish and English, Marcel gained an MBA from Hult International Business School and an LL.M from Duke Law School.
