JTC has been named ‘Trust Company of the Year (large firm)’ at the STEP Private Client Awards 2024.
The Award was presented to JTC’s Private Client Services team at a ceremony in London on 19 September, with the prestigious accolade building on a highly successful year for JTC’s Private Client Services (PCS) division.
This year the firm has announced the acquisitions of Citi Trust, which is due to complete next year, subject to regulatory approvals, and First Republic Trust Company of Delaware. These build on the other recent acquisitions of South Dakota Trust Company and New York Private Trust Company and cement JTC’s position as one of the leading independent trust company businesses globally.
The firm also recently announced a strong set of interim results (17 September), with JTC’s PCS division reporting increasing revenue by 46.1%, with impressive net organic growth of 13.9%.
Recognised as a key fixture within the global private client sector and the benchmark for quality across the industry, the STEP Awards are rigorously judged and celebrate excellence amongst private client solicitors, lawyers, accountants, barristers, bankers, trust managers and financial advisors.
Commenting on the Award win, Iain Johns, Group Head of Private Client Services at JTC, said:
“Being recognised by STEP through this prestigious accolade is a fantastic endorsement of the hard work and extraordinary combined achievements of our global teams over the past few years. We have continued to deliver impressive growth, both organically and through our ambitious acquisition strategy, affirming JTC’s position as a leading global trust business.
“The Award is also a reflection of our innovative approach, of the considerable expertise and experience of our people, the development opportunities for our people, and of the sustained focus we have on providing a high-quality service to families and private clients – something that remains critical in the current complex and rapidly evolving environment.”
